How   Many Lessons ?   -   It takes on average 45 hours of professional training and 22 of practice that's a total of 67 hours to get to test standard. This is the average that the D.S.A. recommends. But this can be reduced by going out every day.

If you only go out once a week this would mean your going to take over a year to learn to drive. If you took 2 lessons a week you should take around 6 months, if you took 3 lessons a week it should be around 3 months, but the best and fastest way is to go out every day if possible this should bring it down to around 2 months.

So the best way to achieve a quick test is to have a lesson a day if possible, but we all know this is not possible for everyone. Also people learn at different rates so these figures are not set in stone for some it could be less for others it could be more, they are only a guide.

Taking these times into consideration the best way to PLAN to start to have lessons is to have all the money at hand before starting. If it takes 45 hours to learn that is 45 hours at how many pounds ?

Block booking is the cheapest option as you are given discount on the normal price because you pay up front, so for example on MY PRICE PLAN it would be 1st-10 lessons @ £130 then the 2nd-10 @ £160 plus 1 free then the 3rd-10 @ £160 plus 1 free then the 4th-10 @ £160 plus 1 free that equates to 43 lessons for £610, NOT exactly an amount that you will have lying around so PLAN ahead and save up before you start so you can keep up with your lessons and not stop and start them, as doing this is a sure fire way of how to make it take a long time.

Save at least half the money before starting, that is £290 then maybe you can save the rest as you start your lessons, at least you will have enough for the 1st 21 lessons which if you took a lesson a day would give you a month before you had to pay for any more then maybe you could pay for your next 10 by then and then the next 10 the next month it depends on what you can afford. This is only a guide to show you what it could cost and in what time but if you PLAN you will save yourself a lot of heartache in the long run.

PLEASE NOTE the free lessons only apply to your 1st booking so to get free lessons you must pay £160 per 10 lessons  to receive a free lesson that is 11 for the price of 10 = £14.45 per lesson. But exclude the 1st 10 which is already heavily discounted.

If you struggle with your theory give me a call i can HELP but you must HELP yourself also, by phoning.
